We work with clients to procure, maintain, and manage domain names, develop and enforce IP policy, police, investigate and effectively take down protected subject matter from social media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Google. We enforce and defend claims under the Anti-Cybersquatting Prevention Act, Trademark Act, Copyright Act, and related statutes pertaining to domain names and website content issues.

HLC assists clients with securing global and domestic copyrights and copyright assets, licensing copyrighted works (including software and entertainment assets), enforcing copyrights, and defending copyright claims in federal court. We counsel clients regarding online copyright enforcement, piracy and social media issues, as well as matters under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, including filing and responding to take-down notices, establishing online enforcement strategies and policies, and compliance with the DMCA’s safe harbor provisions.
